Who Was There?
According to Moonalice legend, today's poster by Lauren Yurkovich provides clues about the origins of this 34-year old festival. It depicts Winona Moonalice, our tribe's matron saint of intoxicating beverages. Known to everyone as Wine -- or Wino to her family -- she married her third cousin, Arthur, and together they pioneered summer gatherings where people walked in the sunshine, eating, drinking and looking at pretty things ... before eventually keeling over. To honor Arthur and Winona this event is known as the Art and Wine Festival.
Shout out to Jim McCafferty.
