w/ Jorma Kaukonen and Barry Mitterhoff
According to Moonalice legend, Fur Peace Ranch is such a long way off that we see a different side of the moon. Not the light side or dark side, but the fur side. The side with a tail. Apparently the cow didn't jump as high as the nursery rhyme claims ... it did a face plant into the moon and has been hanging out ... butt side out ... ever since. As depicted in tonight's poster by Gary Houston, the fur side of the moon is where the music is. People have been known to raise hell - and sunflowers - in its pale glow. The fur side is where you find peace, as well ragtime blues, good food and great friends. Let us all salute the guardians of the Fur Side, Jorma, Vanessa, John and Brett. Fur peace be with you!
Note: Jorma Kaukonen and Barry Mitterhoff played on That's Alright Mama and Hesitation Blues
