What To Watch (Archive)

  • Oct 9, 2013 / Union Square (San Francisco, CA)
Union Square is an SF landmark & we play free shows every summer month - this was our final 2013 appearance!
  • Aug 5, 2013 / AT&T Park (San Francisco, CA)
We played two sets before the Giants game. Our band loves baseball, so this giant fun for us (pun intended)
  • Oct 6, 2013 / HSB (San Francisco, CA)
HSB: the largest free festival in America draws more than 1/2 a million people. Our adrenal glands were working overtime!!!
  • May 7, 2013 / Delancey Street (SF, CA)
The clients at Delancey Street are all in recovery from one thing or another, and we are the only band that plays there
  • Sep 27, 2013 / The Linda (Albany, NY)
Venue was once a bank - the band's green room was in the walk-in safe - and it was packed to the rafters.
  • Dec 29, 2013 / Sweetwater Music (Mill Valley, CA)
Our Psychedelic Sunday shows at Sweetwater occur at 2 in the afternoon - a fantastic time for serious psychedelic music
  • Jul 3, 2013 / TRI Studios (Weir Studio, CA)
If you don't know Moonalice and want a quick introduction to our music, this show is as good as you will find.

Welcome to the new Moonalice.com beta!!!

If you are reading this, you have found the new Moonalice.com website. Welcome!!!

We have been experimenting with new web designs and technology for the past year. Those of you who have watched shows on MoonaliceTV.com were the early beneficiaries. Now the whole website is available. We still have a huge amount of work to do, but the site will give you access to a huge amount of Moonalice content from phones and computers. You can share it all.

There are several groundbreaking things in this site:
* Design: the "control panel" design produces engagement measured in minutes, not seconds.
* Content design: We serve up all the content we have for each show, one show at a time. You ask, we serve. We have about 400 shows of audio, 50+ of video, 400+ posters, legends, photos, etc.
* Shareable content: Everything can be shared.
* Optimized for mobile: Everything can viewed/heard on Android, iPhone, or iPad without an app.

The design is optimized for mobile and social, which turned out to be a lot harder than we hoped. For one thing, HTML 5 is so primitive that we used in only where there was no choice (e.g., mobile on iOS). Unfortunately, Apple's implementation of HTML 5 leaves a lot to be desired. Be aware that the music player on iOS can only play one song at a time, rather than whole shows. We hope Apple fixes this soon.

I look forward to your feedback.

Roger
