According to Moonalice legend, tonight's poster by Chris Shaw illustrates a tribal bedtime story called "The Harlequins & the Whale." The story is about twin Moonalices who dressed as court jesters and smuggled hemp into Marina del Rey. For many years, the twins left Venice Beach empty handed every morning and poled their gondola to the Marina here, miraculously arriving with nifty packages of the finest in hemp entertainment. Everyone loved them. The key to whole operation is that the twins' connection was a humpback whale named Boomer who imported hemp by the bale. The Coast Guard never suspected a thing.
