Who Was There?

According to Moonalice legend, some days you win. Some days you lose. Some days it rains. And some days, the gig gets cancelled and you wind up somewhere other than the place the poster says you are at. Today is one of those days. Fortunately, our art director Chris Shaw has come through for us again. His poster features a Slugger Basset, the 3rd bassman from the Moonalice Baseball Hall of Fame. Slugger slobbered a lot. He also snored like a chainsaw. But boy could he hit. He’d fill his bowl with choice hemp buds and inhaled with the power of an Electrolux. Being a basset, Slugger exhaled through his posterior, which kept the opposition from coming anywhere near third base.

Note: We were supposed to play a Summer Concert Series in Willits on this day, but the show lost its permit at the last minute. Remarkably, the Nelson Family Vineyards gig came out of nowhere to save the day. We gave away Slugger Basset at Nelson Vineyards.
