According to Moonalice legend, the Evergreen Lodge sits on land once occupied by Tortugas Moonalice, a tribal chief who was frequently mistaken for a Galapagos Tortoise. When Tortugas was a baby, he ate an entire batch of hemp brownies, which permanently altered his physiology. He grew a large shell and from that moment forward, Tortugas moved very slowly. If you haven’t seen him, just wander out into the woods. If you get far enough away from the lights of civilization, you are bound to find him.
