Who Was There?
According to Moonalice legend, tonight's poster by Alexandra Fischer depicts Solana Beach Moonalice, the surf queen of North San Diego County. Solana pioneered limbo surfing ... bending so far backward she was able to serve afternoon tea on her tummy while riding big waves. The only thing she couldn't do was stop, which was how she would up surfing past the beach, the cliffs and 101. She came rest on this very spot, hanging on for dear life in her limbo position. Of course that's why we call this club the Belly Up.
