According to Moonalice legend, everyone knows that when you see someone with pants on fire, you call that person a liar. But what do you call a person who covers her shoulders and head with burning candles? You might call 9-1-1. But it would be smarter to call her a good samaritan, especially if she can keep the candles going in a stiff breeze. How many times have you struggled to get a doobie lit in a high wind and prayed for someone to pass by with burning candles arrayed all over her upper body? Happens to us all the time. As depicted in tonight’s magnificent poster by Lauren Yurkovich, Flamin’ Groovy Moonalice is the solution to one of the longest standing problems in our tribe. For that, she has been voted into the Moonalice Hall of Fame.
